I also love bacon, but if I ate bacon everyday I might have some problems...the alternative? Turkey Bacon. Now, turkey bacon is nowhere near as heavenly, melty, and salty as piggy bacon, but if cooked just right, the Jennie-O brand will crisp and morph into a decent substitute.
Armed with my gluten free bread and turkey bacon I decided I was going to make one sexy beast of a sandwich...it had to be food perv worthy. I've always loved a classic BLT. Hmmmm. That was it! I had fresh spinach, tomatoes, and avocado in the fridge. BAM! I was about to make my first ever TBSTA. Turkey Bacon Spinach Tomato Avocado. One of my best sandwich ideas yet.
What you need
*Bread (doesn't have to be gluten free)
This is pretty straight forward, build your sandwich! I added the cheese to make up for the lack of fat in my turkey bacon.
I highly recommend pairing your TBSTA with potato chips. I happened to have some Lay's Pico De Gallo flavored ones sitting around, they worked just fine!
Have fun experiencing this treat...you're welcome.
(Yes, I am aware this sandwich would be even tastier with real bacon. If you make it before I do, let me know how it is.)
