Valentine's Day is coming up, but, I don't call it that.  I prefer to call it "Chocolate Day."  I couldn't give a f*ck about having a Valentine, but I better have plenty of chocolate damn it!  Pardon my swearing, I must be hopped up on the six different chocolate bars I tasted today, which I did for YOU, by the way...because I love you and you're so special to me!  After reading this, you should have no problem picking out the perfect chocolate bar for your lover, would be lover, or just for your sweet little self. Enjoy!

1. Compartés Chocolatier

The Blonde Bombshell,  is the "I mean business" chocolate bar.  This chocolatier has been around LA since 1950, so they KNOW what's up.  If you are serious about someone, or about chocolate in general, this bar is a must.  The rich and creamy white chocolate will leave your mouth feeling flirty, seductive and giggly.  These babies aren't cheap at $9-13.00 a bar, but a worthwhile indulgence nonetheless.  This is the sexiest bar you can give or get.

2.  Vosges Haut Chocolat

Vosges Mo's Milk Bar, laced with bacon and salt, is the glamorous rebel of chocolate bars.  The right kind of wrong.  Some people will laugh at a bacon chocolate bar, but you know it's the ultimate perfect sin and isn't crazy at all, it's downright mouth-gasmic. One bite of this luxuriously sweet and savory bar will make your soul swell with glee.  You will feel like you're getting away with a crime.  Just don't get arrested.

In addition to the Mo bar, the Pink Himalayan Crystal Salt Caramel Bar and the Super Dark Coconut Ash & Banana will absolutely get your heart racing.  If you truly love chocolate, you don't need any more convincing.

3.  Chuao Chocolatier

Chuao's Potato Chip Bar, first met my lips a few years ago and I am still in love with it. This is the perfect bar for someone who loves to have a good time.  The salt and crunch ooozes happiness and magic.  If you're in a bad mood, I dare you to eat this bar and not feel one-hundred times better.  The chip bits are small enough not to distract from the smooth chocolate. And how fun are the printed words on each piece?  I think someone could make a fun game with this bar...

4.  Lindt

Lindt's Hazelnut Milk Chocolate Bar is a safe bet, unless the person you're getting it for is allergic to hazelnuts.  It is one of the oldest names in chocolate, established in Zurich, Switzerland in 1845 people!  The Swiss have an impeccable reputation for chocolate candy manufacturing, so this is a no-fail option.  Hazelnuts are better than most nuts, in my opinion.  In this bar, they complement the milk chocolate, each flavor enhances the other. This bar is also a great value because of its large size...can last a person up to two days or more!

5.  Coco Polo

Coco Polo's Toasted Coconut Chia Bar, is for that person you know who can barely eat anything!  This bar is basically a miracle.  It is made from stevia, but doesn't taste like it.  The bitter-sweet dark chocolate is tamed by shreds of coconut and the chia seeds add an interesting texture with each bite. As far as sugar-free chocolate goes, this is the best of the best.  The guilt-free chocolate bar has arrived.

6.  Hershey's

I will always associate Hershey's with their famous chocolate kisses which you could send to your classmates in elementary school on Valentine's Day, cleverly named "kiss-o-grams". Hershey's chocolate will always hold a special place in my heart.  It's like the first love of chocolate bars, you can never forget your first, no matter how many other more delicious, fancier bars you have.  This bar is for someone who is a classic. Simple and not fussy.  Hershey's milk chocolate tastes like home.

That wraps it up, my top six chocolate bars...I think there is something for everybody!  I hope you find this guide helpful in your personal chocolate search.  Do you have a favorite I haven't tried?
